CAHR BOARD OF DIRECTORS SCHOLARSHIPS

SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM IS NOW CLOSED

The Canadian Association for Healthcare Reimbursement (CAHR) is pleased to offer scholarships to support academic activities that will lead to a career in market access within the Canadian healthcare industry.

AVAILABILITY

Three (3) grants per year of $5000* each, payable directly to the recipient

  • The funding is intended to defray costs associated with the student’s schooling, including direct costs (e.g. tuition, research assistance, supplies, etc.) and also living expenses
  • The successful applicants will be invited to participate in a future CAHR event to receive public recognition

The full application must be received by the CAHR office by the established annual deadline.

PURPOSE

The scholarship was established by the CAHR Board of Directors in 2015 to encourage the development of expertise in areas of study relevant to market access.

EGILIBILITY REQUIRMENTS

  • Students must be registered in a graduate school (Master’s program) at a recognized Canadian post-secondary institution
  • If the student has been granted other funds in support of operating costs associated with their education, they must indicate in their application budget and clearly show that no overlap of grant funds will occur
  • Applicants do not need to be a CAHR member
  • Previous applicants are welcome again

GUIDELINES

  • CAHR will evaluate applications according to
    a)      the student’s qualifications/research background
    b)      academic excellence
  • The recipients must acknowledge CAHR 2020 Scholarship in publications and presentations associated with research for which funding is provided

THE APPLICATION MUST INCLUDE:

  • Your curriculum vitae
  • A letter of reference from your current supervisor that addresses your academic and research abilities and potential. The letter should be electronically signed.
  • An essay of no more than 1,000 words describing yourself and your field of study and how you feel it is applicable in market access
  • A one-page budget with a detailed explanation of how funds will be used, unique from any other grant funds you may have received an without overlap of those funds. The budget must include a list of all other grand funds held in support of your education.

TO APPLY

All documents should be uploaded by the applicant via the Scholarship submission portal using the link below. Confirmation of receipt can be verified by contacting CAHR office.  Please note: No mailed items will be accepted.

*CAHR will disburse the total grant amount directly to the selected receipts once CAHR has been provided with the receipt’s address and any other details that may be required for this purpose. The successful receipts will also be invited to participate at a future CAHR event to receive public recognition.  Please note: No mailed items will be accepted.
