CAHR'S WESTERN DAY As
many of you know, we rotate between Vancouver and Edmonton, and this year we’re
back in Edmonton. Thank you to everyone who joined us Monday evening! It was great seeing you at our Welcome Reception and the featured lecture from the First Nations Health Authority’s Director of Pharmacy Cindy Preston, who delivered an insightful keynote, ably moderated by Raegan Howard of GSK. We also had the pleasure of recognizing recent industry retiree Dan L’Abbe. Thrilled to welcome former executive director of BC’s Pharmaceutical Services Division, Mitch Moneo, to present the 2026 Steve Long Memorial lecture. In addition, the new pan-Canadian Pharmaceutical Alliance (pCPA) CEO, Mauro Chies, joined us as a keynote speaker later in the day. Several substantive panel sessions are also planned, including one that explored vaccine coverage in the West and another that will consider how to engage in effective advocacy. We also featured a CEO’s panel, which will reveal how innovative pharmaceutical companies are managing risk in the current environment and another session that will give senior leaders from the Western cancer agencies a podium to discuss what has been going on in their worlds. |
CAHR'S MARKET ACCESS FORUM (MAF) The day delivered a multifaceted insight into current issues, key topics and health care policy of paramount importance to the pharmaceutical industry and its various stakeholders. It provides attendees with context and insight to better understand the issues facing market access professionals. |
