While access to genetic testing, including the identification of biomarkers that help determine the potential efficacy of using certain treatments, offers important patient benefits for Canadians, there is a range of structural and financial barriers within the health care systems in Canada that make it challenging to take proper advantage of these new technologies. This webinar will explore those challenges from several perspectives and update the audience on recent research analyzing the conditions necessary to facilitate improved reliance on testing and more consistent early access. To conclude, it will feature an open discussion about what steps might be required to make progress on optimal patient care in an evolving era of genomic medicine.
